Shipping & Returns

 

At Kestrel Knives, we stand behind the quality of our blades and want to make sure your experience from checkout to field use is seamless. Please review the information below before placing your order.

 

Domestic Shipments

•    We ship within the continental U.S. using USPS as our primary carrier.

•    All domestic shipments include tracking. You’ll receive an email confirmation with purchase details and tracking information once your order ships.

 

International Shipments

•    We do ship internationally. Please contact us at sales@kestrelknives.com for a quote on rates.

•    Duties, VAT, and Import Taxes: International shipping rates do not include duties, VAT, or import taxes. These fees are the responsibility of the recipient upon delivery.

•    Due to varying customs policies and currency fluctuations, we cannot estimate these charges in advance.

•    Important: We are not responsible for knives lost outside of the U.S. Once an international package leaves the United States, all risk of loss transfers to the buyer.

 

Returns Policy

We accept returns under the following conditions:

•    Return Window: Returns must be initiated within 5 days of confirmed delivery. We believe this provides enough time to determine whether your order is satisfactory.

•    Condition of Item: Items must be brand new, unused, and in their original packaging.

•    Pre-Authorization Required: Contact sales@kestrelknives.com before sending back any item. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

•    Restocking Fee: A 10% restocking fee applies to non-defective returns. This covers shipping, payment processing, and labor costs.

Print-On-Demand Returns & Exchanges (Apparel)

Because our apparel and gear are made-to-order through Print on Demand, we’re able to offer returns and exchanges, but not refunds for all situations once production begins.

If there’s ever an issue with your order  such as a manufacturing error, printing issue, or damaged item  we’ll make it right. You can choose a free replacement or a full refund. Simply ship the product to:

We take full responsibility for these cases; all we ask is that you email us to submit a quick problem report so we can review and resolve it fast.

Changed your mind?
If you ordered the wrong size, selected the wrong item, or simply no longer want it, we’re still happy to help. You can send it back for a return or exchange, but please note that refunds aren’t available due to the nature of on-demand production.

•    Return Shipping: You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is the result of our error (incorrect or defective item).

Damages or Issues

Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery.

•    If you discover any defective, damaged, or incorrect items, contact us within 48 hours of delivery so we can resolve the issue quickly.

Non-Refundable Items

Certain products are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded:

•    Custom knives and custom orders

•    Build-A-Knife program knives

•    Sale or discounted items

•    Gift cards

•    Knives sold “as is” (including blemished, used, or imperfect knives)

Refund Timeline

Refunds are processed promptly, but timing depends on shipping and bank processing:

•    5–10 business days for return transit

•    3–5 business days for us to inspect and process the return

•    5–10 business days for your bank to post the refund

In most cases, refunds are completed faster than this four-week timeline.

⚠️ Tip: We strongly recommend insuring any return shipment. If a return is lost or damaged in transit, we cannot issue a refund.
